Name: The Scene

Quick Pitch: The Scene serves as the authority on where to go for nightlife and entertainment and connects users to the hottest people, places and events in their area.

Genius Idea: Most of us computer nerds don’t get outside enough, but when we do we really know how to have a good time (think SXSW Interactive). These days we’ve got more than a few options when it comes to social sites dedicated to helping us stay hip to the über trendy nightlife milieu, but very few make it easy to actually spot a hot spot on the go. The Scene, an online destination for keeping up with the Jones’ social life, has a pretty nifty iPhone app that can help us find fabulous bars and clubs when we’re out and about.
