Perhaps in an effort to stay in the news and attract clientele away from Netflix, Blockbuster is expanding their online rental reach to new realms. So what’s Blockbuster’s new offering? Subscription-based mail order video game rentals.
Blockbuster’s big move into video game rentals is a natural progression from existing in-store video game rentals and online purchasing options. The rental retailer will start to offer a myriad of games for the XBox/360, PS2/3, and Nintendo Wii gaming platforms, which directly pits it against the already successful GameFly.
