Disc Cover Supports Yamaha DiscT@2 Technology - PC World

BeLight Software on Thursday announced the release of Disc Cover 2.3, an update to its Mac OS X software for designing CD and DVD labels. The update is free for registered users; Disc Cover costs US$34.95.

Disc Cover is a consumer-oriented design tool that helps you make covers for your CDs and DVDs, inserts, jewel cases and more. It includes 250 templates and backgrounds, and features more than 24,000 images. It integrates with iTunes, Aperture, iPhoto and iDVD libraries, too.

New to the 2.3 release is support for Yamaha's "DiscT@2" technology, which lets you write text and graphics on the data side of DVD discs using a drive that supports "Labelflash." (The design or text is etched on the disc in the space left over after burning data on a DVD±R disc.) BeLight claims that Disc Cover is the first and only Mac program to offer such support.
