Tech toys young celebrities loved in 2008

December 23rd, 2008

Ever wonder what type of gadgets get young celebrities excited? Karen Wood, Founder of Backstage Creations, tells me the gadgets below were hot items at the Teen Choice awards earlier this year. Young celebrities like Jordin Sparks, JoJo, David Archuleta, Jonas Brothers, and The Cheetah Girls had a great time playing with these toys at their celebrity retreat. If you're still looking for last minute Christmas gifts for teens on your list, then check out the list below for inspiration.

Girl Tech Stylin' Studio: Trying a new look is always nerve-wrecking, unless you get a digital makeover first. Girl Tech's Stylin' Studio is the safe way to give yourself and your friends a virtual makeover without the long term commitment that comes with changing your hairstyle. This studio comes with some high-tech tools including a fun touchpad controller with a built-in digital camera and stylus pen to help you select your looks. Once you upload your picture (or take one with the digital camera) you can experiment with different hairstyles, makeup, clothes, accessories, and even backgrounds. Now all you have to do is save the picture, and upload it to your Facebook profile. Karen tells me celebs like The Clique Girlz, Jordin Sparks, Danity Kane, and The Cheetah Girls all got virtual makeovers with this tool at the Teen Choice Awards earlier this year. You can pick up this studio at Kmart, Target, Amazon, or Walmart. Check out the online version for Stylin' Studio here if you're curious.
