There is no official announcement yet about the launch of Apple’s still undisclosed iPhone 7, however, rumours about iPhone 7 have started flowing in. Even hardcore iPhone enthusiast will agree that iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s plus didn’t quite get it right when it comes to radical changes in design and features. If rumours are right, then that is just about to change.
The latest speculations from Apple Rumour site suggests that the next iPhone could come with a bumper storage and phenomenal battery life. The iPhone 7 could feature a 256 GB of storage – the highest in Apple’s lineup of iPhone till date and be powered by a 3,100mAh battery. It isn’t clear if Apple would do away with the 16 GB base storage choice for its new iPhone 7. The mammoth battery for any iPhone till date would be 12.7 per cent larger than the iPhone 6 Plus’s 2,750mAh battery.
It is further speculated that the phone will be as thin as the new iPod touch but will retain the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch screen (iPhone 7 Plus) sizes.
Earlier speculations have pointed at the removal of the ubiquitous headphone jack from the next iPhone. It has been rumoured that the new iPhone 7 will not have the 3.5mm headphone jack and instead feature an all-in-one lightening connector allowing the smartphone to be thinner at 6.0mm and 6.5mm with a waterproof design.
The iPhone 7 devices may further include a faster TSMC-built A10 chip and Intel 7360 LTE modem with 3 GB of RAM. They could feature a non-metallic casing with hidden antenna bands.
Further rumours coming from the same site- MyDrivers, indicate that Apple is also working on an iPhone 6c which is likely to come with a 1,642mAh battery and 2 GB of RAM.
In a throughly surprising move Apple announced the launch of an external battery case for iPhone 6S. Apple claims that this new accessory can extend the battery life of iPhone 6S by over 25 hours. The new accessory is reasonably priced at $99 and is available in two colors – Black and White.

It is now 4 months and 24 days since my contract as a Senior Technical Writer with a large PC manufacturer was terminated; a result of “streamlining”, “resource rationalization” or whatever the currently favored term for “axe wielding” is.
4 months and 24 days of energy sapping job hunting, wondering when the next significant income will present itself, and doing everything possible to avoid being a statistic and a burden to the welfare system.
It is 2 months and 6 days since, over a few bottles of budget beer, illustrator Dennis Harrison and I had an idea for an iPhone application that would surely leave other developers in awe, and the global iPhone community screaming for more.
